It's light and made out of plastic. It fits in all my drive fine. It has a place to tie it to a key chain but I think I might destroy it in my pocket since it light duty. I did not see a cap to protect the end - but that is ok since I don't need one in the office. It sells for a good price but I would not use it as a walk around in your pocket disk. I'd get one with a retractable head for the same price. When I first saw it, I was a little disappointed because of it's light weight and small size.

But after using it for a while I have grown to like it. However, I found these Flash Drives to be of questionable quality, tight fitting and not up to the standards of other SanDisk products I have purchased. I was able to transfer the files, but I wondered during the entire process if they would work properly. I purchased this particular USB flash drive because of the name SanDisk, which I believed was a good name brand. Boy was I wrong. This unit is made of plastic and the fit in the USB connection is very bad. It takes alot of force to get it into the USB connection of my computer. I was actually afraid it was going to damage my connection.

I have trimmed off some of the plastic in the area that was clearly marked by the bad interferrence fit in order to reduce risk of damaging my USB connection. - They should have used metal for this part of the unit, or at least ensured a better fit. Holds just the right amount of GB for my needs.

Now i would not want to have this on a key chain since it is made out of very thin plastic and will easly break in a pocket and i see no need to carry it around with me since i'm not into corporate espionage. From Great Price for 16GB I wanted a 16GB memory unit to use with my new 55in HD LCD TV so I could cycle my 15,000+ pics on the screen with the stereo on while I played with my images. Not having bought a flash drive in quite some time I was amazed at the minimal size which really worked great for me as it didn't look like an appendage was coming out of the side of my TV. The other thing I noticed is its construction felt rather cheap being plastic and tiny. However it did the job that I wanted it to do - I just couldn't give it a five because of the feel of it.
